About Philadelphia Lactation

Breastfeeding is natural, nourishing, and nurturing. However, many times families need reassurance or support overcoming challenges. Obtaining that support from an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) ensures your family is getting the “gold standard” in breastfeeding care. Philadelphia Lactation offers up-to-date, evidence-based information, professional and personal experience, as well as compassionate guidance as you work toward your own breastfeeding goals.

Katie Katz is an IBCLC and loves working with moms and babies. Katie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She has experience working  in postpartum, well baby nursery and general pediatrics. Katie has worked for Lehigh Valley Health Network, Pennsylvania Hospital and currently with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Katie is Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certified. Katie is uniquely equipped to help with special clinical knowledge and ability to handle a variety of breastfeeding issues while providing gentle encouragement and unbiased support.
